The award amounts are $3000 and $1750 for college students and $500 for high school students for the top 2 places. Eligibility criteria for the scholarship

The first criterion is that you should be enrolled full-time at an accredited university, college, or high school. If you are undertaking part-time courses, you cannot apply. However, if you are studying at a community or a military school or college, or home-schooling, you are still good to go. Next, your GPA must be at least 3.0 on a 4-point scale. International students or residents cannot apply for this scholarship. You need to be a permanent resident or a legal citizen of the U.S. to qualify for the Semper Solaris Scholarship.

Essay - Topic and word count

College students must submit an essay of 1000 words on the topic - "How can solar and renewable energy help local communities?".

High school students must submit an essay of 500 words on the topic - "How do you see Solar Power changing our country in the future?"

Applicants cannot submit more than one essay. Make sure to cite your sources on the works cited page and check for spelling and grammatical errors before submitting the essay.
